Terms of Service
Last updated August 7, 2026
In short: SwipeTix helps you find shows at small venues. We don't sell tickets — we link you to the venue. Show details come from venue websites and can be wrong, so always confirm with the venue before you go. Be 13 or older, don't abuse the service, and understand the app is provided as-is during beta.
1. Agreement
These Terms are a contract between you and SwipeTix. By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using swipetix.app (the “Service”), you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms.
2. Private beta
The Service is in private beta and is offered free of charge. Access is by invitation or access code. Features may change, break, or disappear without notice, and we may suspend or end the beta, or revoke access, at any time. Do not rely on the Service for anything critical.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian's permission. Many venues we list have their own age restrictions (18+ or 21+) and enforcing those is entirely between you and the venue.
4. Your account
Keep your access code and your email account secure — anyone with them can reach your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@swipetix.app if you suspect unauthorized use. Do not share your access code outside the people it was issued to.
5. Show information — read this one
We are not the source of truth for any show. Always confirm the date, time, price, age limit, and lineup with the venue or the official ticket seller before you travel or buy.
Show listings are gathered automatically from venues' own public web pages and processed with software, including AI-assisted extraction. That process is imperfect. Listings may be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong — shows get cancelled, rescheduled, moved, sold out, or repriced without our knowing.
We provide listings for discovery purposes only, we do not guarantee their accuracy, and we are not responsible for losses from relying on them, including wasted travel or missed events.
6. Tickets and venues
SwipeTix does not sell tickets and is not a ticket broker. When you tap through to buy, you leave the Service and transact with the venue or their ticketing provider under their terms and refund policies. We are not a party to that transaction and have no control over pricing, fees, entry, cancellations, or refunds. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent for any venue, promoter, or artist listed unless we say so explicitly.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract the Service's data, or resell or redistribute our listings.
- Attempt to breach or probe security, access other users' accounts, or bypass the beta access gate.
- Interfere with or overload the Service, including automated request floods.
- Reverse engineer the Service except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations, with or without notice.
8. Content and intellectual property
The Service's design, code, and original text are ours. Venue names, artist names, logos, event artwork, and photographs belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification and discovery under fair use or the terms of the sources they came from.
Music previews and artwork are provided courtesy of Apple's iTunes Search API and Deezer, and are subject to those providers' terms. Map data is served by OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap contributors.
If you own rights to something shown in the Service and want it removed, email hello@swipetix.app and we will act promptly.
9. Location features
Distance features rely on location you choose to share. Location and distance figures are approximate and must not be relied on for navigation or safety. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect and how to revoke it.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy or availability of listings. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwipeTix will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), which reflects that the Service is currently provided free of charge.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold SwipeTix harmless from claims and costs arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. The sections that by their nature should survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity — will survive.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction — except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
